So I usually write a note on my birthday to recap my year…I’m a little late posting it this year. I actually wrote it on time but wanted to wait til my new website (JustCucIt.com) was ready to post it there… Alas, it is still a working progress.
Thank you in advance for allowing me to share my 39th birthday note with you 🙂
Thirty-nine . . .
Is it really just a number? A quick Google on the “number 39” was simply delightful and very enlightening:
“39” . . . the name of a trippy song on The Cure’s Bloodflowers album . . . very reminiscent of Disintegration.
“39” . . . Japanese slang for “Thank you.” When written with numbers (3 = san 9 = kyu)
“39” . . . For international direct-dialed phone calls to Italy, “Ciao a tutti!”
“39” . . . the atomic number for “yttrium,” (learned a new “y” word for scrabble)
“39” . . . a cataloged spiral galaxy in the constellation Andromeda
This was just a handful of 39 references on the Wikipedia page . . . I am more interested in how 39 will present itself in the life of CUC 😉 one shy of the dreaded “over the hill 40.”
In reality, I have never felt more alive! Nothing fills the soul like a fresh glass of life 🙂 . . . nothing revives the spirit like butterflies in your belly set free by a kiss that feels as electrifying as the first time. . . and nothing stimulates the mind like the distances your dreams can take you.
This year’s birthday note feels different . . . I have no lessons to teach, nor knowledge to part, only blessings to share.
I used my birthday wishes this year to hope for health and happiness for my parents, safety and success for my son and for life to bestow peace and kindness upon everyone I hold dear.

Cheers to a deliberate life!
